So, we scrubbed the aluminum clean (until it didn't leave white on your finger when you touched it) and then painted it. Looks can be deceiving - the front still needs one more coat and the rest of the house still needs to be painted. :-) We may look into having a painter spray the rest of the house, though, depending on cost.
